Der Dritte Tisch ("The Third Table") is a design studio founded by artists and designers based in Korea and Germany. The name is inspired by philosopher Graham Harman’s concept of the “third table” — an object that exists between scientific fact and human perception, occupying a poetic, artistic space. The studio explores this in-between realm through visual and conceptual design.

Project Overview

This branding project aimed to position Der Dritte Tisch as a conceptually driven studio rooted in both artistic inquiry and professional design practice. The logo system is built from three words and two simple rectangles, reflecting the studio's name and layered philosophical underpinnings. A vibrant palette of primary and secondary colors allows for flexible application, while the type system based on Apple SD Gothic Neo ensures clarity across languages. Detailed usage rules were defined for spacing, scaling, and logo placement to maintain visual consistency. The result is a brand identity that is minimalist, thoughtful, and adaptable.
